Unfortunately Grey's Anatomy will be showing a repeat episode this week. Let's end this strike already! We want new TV! .
Net Neutrality Is a Civil Rights Issue
Metered pricing plans which do not recognize differences in peak versus off-peak use are instead designed to undermine net neutral internet use by opening the door to "fast lane" and "everything" high-priced packages along the lines of cable tv forced packaging and bundling plans. Preventing blocking of competitor content is only part of a serious violation of net neutrality. Congestion caused by oversold capacity is the rest of the problem and requires net neutral solutions as well. .
Hayden Panettiere GQ Magazine's Obsession of the Year
"You can't schedule rehab for me. And I don't think you can schedule any DUIs," Panettiere told the magazine. "I think I'm going to be one of those boring girls." For a boring girl, Panettiere is pretty racy, saying she doesn't mind rumors that she's interested in women and naming her favorite beautiful actresses. "You want to make me a lesbian? That's totally fine with me," she said. "We could do a love affair with Angelina [Jolie]. ... There are so many beautiful girls. Charlize Theron. Oh, my God. Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous. Jessica Alba." The tabloid target also mocks rumors linking her to a string of boyfriends, including castmate Milo Ventimiglia and actor B.J. Novak from "The Office." "Well, now that I'm single, it's like I'm dating every male I'm standing next to," she said.
Update: Library Has 10 Copies of "Water for Elephants"
Mike Jorgenson, R-Hayden Lake, and two other friends. Ron G. Johnson/Rathdrum: "This is the Fourth of July, and freedom was won with guns that made noise, and I don't see any reason why we can't do that in the parade." DFO: Mayor Sandi Bloem and the chamber made a good call. There's no reason for a parade entry to spoil this celebration b/c a coupla middle-agers want to shoot off their own version of fireworks along the route. Question: Do you support the chamber's decision to allow the Patton command vehicle replica but not the noise from the 50-calibre gun? .
Brady, Hancock hang tough in debuts
In the season opener for the Hancock College women's tennis team, Ashley Brady was playing her first college match. Even though she had to play a little longer than she remembered playing at Cabrillo High, the freshman made a pretty good debut. Reedley College defeated Hancock 7-2 at the AHC courts Tuesday afternoon, but Brady played well, winning her singles match 6-4, 6-4 and with doubles partner Kacie Guggia, took their opponents to a tie breaker before falling, 9-8 (7-3). "At first, I started out really strong, but actually this is my first college match," Brady said. "I didn't know we had to play two sets." In community college, each singles match is best two-out-of-three sets as compared to single sets in high school. "I kind of gave it all in the first set," Brady continued, "and in the second, I was playing backward.
McCain ready for dirty tricks this time in South Carolina
Huckabee beat the Clinton machine in Arkansas four times so I'll let you answer that. Ed Rollins Reagan's Architect and now Mike's still likes donuts and booze and may be getting older and balder but his memory is still good and I think he's got one more winning campaign in him. Ed remembered Democrats prayed for the Republican nomination of B rated movie star and eventual Governor Ronnie Reagan in 1980 and their prayers were answered. I guess they forgot to pray about the general election for Reagan won with a landslide. I read a few days ago a headline on Drudge and elsewhere the Democrats were again in a “silent" prayer mode for another “B rated star" guy in this case the “Mike" guy called Huckabee who they want to be the Republican nominee. They better be careful what they pray for because he is clothed in the same clothe as Reagan a “Great Communicator and Chief"! I wonder if their prayers will be answered again.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. "They are the nicest family," said Victoria, adding that Cruise never tried to introduce the Beckhams to Scientology. "They have their beliefs, but they have never, ever tried to press those on us. We're just, we're friends. We have a laugh with them. And they're just very kind wonderful people." Something else that makes the Beckhams stand out in Hollywood? They have been married for eight years, and together for 10. "I think that's great, and for the two of us to still be able to not just love each other but, but to really still laugh after so many years is really important," said Victoria. Is this relationship forever? "Of course it is," said David. "We wouldn't have got married if it wasn't." Opinion by Greg Hansen : Livengood's UA legacy
Since arriving at the UA in January 1994, athletic director Jim Livengood has survived ordeals inherent to big-time college programs. He ordered 19 job positions eliminated. For Sunday, Dec. 23
This week in Britney's leftovers: Lindsay Lohan is reportedly dating the extra-skeevy J.R. Rotem. This week in people who don't ever cheat: Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are truly, deeply and epically in love and would never step out. OK! Cover: We usually resist reading OK! because suck-up stories are kinda boring. But, for Britney's IQ-challenged, knocked-up baby sister, we'll make an exception. We learn Jamie Lynn was "shocked" to discover she was pregnant. We assume the age-inappropriate baby daddy told her she couldn't get pregnant unless she specifically asked Santa Claus to bring her a baby. The story, sadly, does not address how upset Britney is that the media attention has momentarily shifted from her. This week in parent of the year: There's no story explaining why Katie is the best mom, but we agree that she fulfills her contractual obligations with grace.
Capital offered cultural and sporting bonanza
CARDIFF-BORN and bred, but living in London, I try to get back home now and then. The last time was on Friday, February 15, to enjoy the inspired production of The Magic Flute by the Welsh National Opera at the Wales Millennium Centre, and to stay on to see Cardiff City teach Wolverhampton Wanderers a football lesson at Ninian Park on Saturday afternoon. That morning I went to the Old Library in The Hayes to see the museum exhibition on Cardiff Floods. What a delight that was – carefully but beautifully set out and a prime example of how learning something new can be fun as well as interesting – and free too! I cannot remember the last time I laughed out loud at a museum. This time it was at the account of the Leckwith Road mini-tsunami caused by RAF St Athan rushing to the rescue in the 1960 flood.
